ANALYSIS: Libya: War In a War Within War

The Libyan civil war escalated a notch, as Egyptian President Mr. Sisi warned of a military intervention, if pro-Turkey NGA advances to Sirte and al Jufra air basis. Libya is quickly morphing into an even more dystopian version of Syria, if you imagine that. Why, you may ask, are Egypt and Turkey in Libya.  So are, Russia, UAE, France and Italy, all for different reasons. What makes Libya so important?   Well, its vast hydrocarbon riches and its central location in North Africa and vs EU are two of the reasons. But, the Turkish angle is slightly different. There is the Moslem Brotherhood angle, as well as the political dynamics in Eastern Mediterranean.  This broadcast tries to explain Turkey’s objectives, as well as speculating on the “end game”.
