The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) survey results showed that households’ inflation expectations decreased, while the proportion of households expecting inflation to decrease in the next 12 months decreased by 0.6 points compared to the previous month and realized as 29 percent. CBRT published the results of the “Sectoral Inflation Expectations” survey.
Accordingly, 12-month-ahead annual inflation expectations for September 2024 decreased by 1.2 points to 27.5 percent for market participants, by 2.7 points to 51.1 percent for the real sector and by 1.5 points to 71.6 percent for households.
Sectoral Inflation Expectations were obtained by compiling the 12-month-ahead annual consumer inflation expectations of financial and real sector experts, manufacturing industry firms and households through the Market Participants Survey, Business Tendency Survey and the Consumer Tendency Survey conducted in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute.
