Türkiye’s consumer sentiment plunges in June

Turkish consumer sentiment plummeted to a three-month low in June, the latest official figures released on Monday showed. A similar index complied by financial broadcaster BloombergHT reported a 3% decline MoM in June.   The consumer confidence index fell 6.5% month-on-month to 85.1 in June from a nearly five-year high of 91.1 in May, according to data by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).   This was the strongest decline since April 2022.
