Presidency Denies Claims Devlet Bahçeli Was Intubated: “No Change in His Health Status”

The Presidential Communications Directorate has officially denied social media rumors that Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli was intubated due to health complications.

In a statement released by the Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM), it was confirmed that:

“There is no change in the health status of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli. The claim that he was intubated is false.”

Bahçeli Recovering at Home After Heart Surgery

Bahçeli underwent heart valve surgery on February 5, 2025, and, according to the official statement, remains in his planned rest period, continuing to work from home.

The Directorate urged the public to ignore unverified social media posts and emphasized that such misinformation was aimed at manipulating public perception.

“Do not rely on unfounded allegations aimed at manipulating public opinion,” the statement warned.
