Türkiye and Spain emerged as the fastest-growing economies among OECD nations in 2024, with both countries recording a 3.2% growth rate, according to recently released data.

Following Türkiye and Spain, the United States registered a 2.8% growth rate, while Lithuania and Norway posted 2.7% and 2.1%, respectively. In contrast, some European economies faced contractions, with Austria’s economy shrinking by 1% and Germany’s by 0.2%.
Türkiye Among the Top G20 Economies
Within the G20, Indonesia led with 5.03% growth, followed by China at 5% and Russia at 4.1%. Türkiye and Spain ranked fourth, but India’s growth rate—set to be announced on Friday—is projected at 6.4%, which would make it the fastest-growing G20 economy in 2024.
Despite this, Türkiye and Spain are expected to remain among the top five economies, solidifying their strong economic momentum within the OECD and G20.
