Türkiye’s Unemployment Rate Declines to 8.5% in December

Türkiye’s unemployment rate edged down by 0.1 percentage points to 8.5% in December, marking its lowest level since February 2012, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). The jobless rate dropped from 8.6% in November and was lower than the 8.8% recorded a year earlier. The number of unemployed individuals aged 15 and over fell by 39,000 to 3.03 million.
