Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will visit Ankara on Wednesday to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye’s Communications Director Fahrettin Altun announced on Tuesday.
The leaders will discuss bilateral ties, as well as regional and global developments. As part of the visit, they will also participate in a live connection for the opening ceremony of the Igdir-Nakhchivan Natural Gas Pipeline, a joint project launched on September 25, 2023.
The 85-kilometer (53-mile) pipeline will supply 500 million cubic meters of gas annually from Igdir, Türkiye, to Sederek, Azerbaijan.
