Erdoğan: Türkiye Has Dismantled Terror Corridor in Northern Syria

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that Türkiye has successfully dismantled the so-called terrorist corridor being formed in northern Syria, issuing a stern warning to the PKK/YPG to either lay down their arms or face elimination.

“Through our cross-border operations, we have broken and dismantled the terrorist corridor that was being formed in northern Syria from four different points,” Erdoğan stated during a meeting of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) in Aydın on Friday.

He emphasized Türkiye’s determination to counter terrorism, noting that operations have targeted PKK bases within the country and built a defense wall against attacks originating from the terrorist group’s headquarters in Mount Qandil, Iraq.

“The terrorists have only two options: renounce terrorism, lay down their arms, or face inevitable elimination,” Erdoğan declared, signaling Türkiye’s unwavering stance.

Additionally, Erdoğan highlighted that PKK/YPG terrorists are now “cornered” in Syria due to Türkiye’s efforts and the role of anti-regime forces that have liberated parts of the region. He noted that the terrorist groups are actively seeking new backers as their influence wanes.

This statement underscores Türkiye’s ongoing commitment to regional stability and its proactive measures against terrorist threats.
