According to MetroPOLL Research February survey, Ekrem İmamoğlu is three points ahead of Murat Kurum in the Istanbul mayoral race. As a party, CHP is two points behind AKP.
Özer Sencar, founder and director of MetroPOLL Research, shared the results of the survey held on February 21-22 yesterday. According to his post, CHP candidate İmamoğlu is 3.3 points ahead of AKP and MHP candidate Murat Kurum. According to the survey, when undecided and protest votes are distributed, İmamoğlu receives 43.5 percent of the votes with Kurum at 40.2 percent.
Sencar has also shared a survey regarding the national votes of parties. In the survey held on the same dates, participants were asked the question “If there is a parliamentary election this Sunday, which political party would you vote for?”
When undecided, no answer and protest votes are distributed, the vote rates of the parties are as follows:
AKP: 33.1 percent
CHP: 31.0 percent
DEM: 9.9 percent (pro-Kurdish)
MHP: 6.5 percent
İYİ Party: 6.3 percent
New Welfare Party: 4.6 percent (ultra-Islamist)
Victory Party: 2.7 percent (anti-immigrant)
Turkish Workers’ Party: 1.9 percent (socialist)
