  • Joe Biden’s recognition of 1915 Armenian ethnic cleansing as “genocide” infuriated Turks and the Erdogan administration.

 

  • Why is it important? After all, Turkey does accept the crimes committed against Anatolian Armenians.

 

  • Erdogan is contemplating retaliation. What could Turkey do?

 

  • Counteraction could range from symbolic to drastic.

 

  • Drastic retaliation would start a final countdown between Turkey and US.

 

  • Turkey is doomed to lose.

 

  • A better way of saying this is Erdogan is doomed to lose.
