Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reaffirmed Turkey’s strategic role as one of Ukraine’s key partners in both security and reconstruction efforts.
Following a meeting with Turkish government officials and business representatives, Zelenskyy stated that the discussions built upon previous agreements made during his visit to Ankara with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The talks centered on economic and military-technical cooperation, with a particular focus on:
- Drone production and the supply of Bayraktar UAVs,
- Strengthening bilateral security cooperation,
- Advancing reconstruction efforts in Ukraine.
Strategic Partnership & Trade Agreement
Zelenskyy emphasized that Turkey is one of Ukraine’s key security partners, playing a significant role in the country’s defense strategy.
Additionally, he announced that Ukraine is ready to ratify the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Turkey during President Erdoğan’s upcoming visit, signaling a deepening of economic ties between the two nations.
